2021 Goals

Oh, the dreaded yearly goal list. I don’t know why I do these. In fact — I never finished mine from last year. XD So we’ll pull what I had posted for 2019 and reflect on that, and see what my interests were then. If anything, they’re good for that purpose — to see where you are in life, and what kind of things you were interested in.

Big oof, there. I stopped streaming. I stopped using Habitica. I didn’t really do much for hobbies, either. I have recently gotten back into Habitica though, and I do plan to stick more with it this time. I can’t remember why I fell off the train last time, though, so hopefully whatever kicked me off of it doesn’t happen again.

Anyway… This year I am in college full time, study to get a Bachelors of Science in Software Development, so that alone is eating up a lot of my time. I am also working on game development as well as doing some art for that, so my plate is pretty full, and I think my goals for this year will reflect on those things.

2020 Goals

Primary Goals

  • Finish at least 13 classes (2 down so far, this would be 3 terms worth of classes)
  • Work on game dev art at least once a week (or else I will probably never get it done! So much to do, redraw, and make pretty!)
  • Work on fun art at least once a week (Those Habitica claims are calling…)
  • Work on dice making (Dice are awesome, after all, and they’re fun to make! Hopefully I can make some pocket money here!)
  • Stick with Habitica, since it helps
  • Read daily (I do this anyway, but I have fallen off of the boat before. It makes me happy in my heart, so sticking with it is a good thing.)
  • Make more time for hobbies (I’m awful at this. I get busy and then feel like I have no time to do anything else but the things I have to do, and it’s awful. Part of it is my OCD, the not feeling like I have time for anything, and I realize that. I’m sure some of it is anxiety too).

I think that’s seriously going to be it. I don’t feel the need for some huge, big lofty goal list with everything that I’m trying to do right now. School needs to be the priority for me, and eats up most of my daytimes during the week. Dice making is my current money making venture (check out my insta @geeky.jen or @fabfamiliar to see some pics if you’re interested!) and I’m currently in the process of making new molds, but polishing is a pain in the ass and takes forever.

Well.. I think that’s it for this post. I don’t really have anything else to add. I hope you guys have a good year, or at least a better year than the garbage fire that was 2020.
