Working on Habitica

Working for free… Something none of us should ever really do, is something I’ve been doing. I’ve been very much enjoying Habitica, and wanted to be able to give back (you know, other than maintaining a subscription). There are various ways that you can contributeto Habitica — you can do art (this is what I do), work on code, work on apps, translate, be a socialite, just to name a few.

There are some small rewards for working on Habitica — you earn contributor tiers, which show up in your achievements. With these tiers you get a couple of gems, your name listed on the website as well as your contributions, your name in chats will match the color of your awarded tier, and tiers 2-6 have a special gear set and pet available to them. So, some bells and whistles, which are always nice!

Today, I was awarded my tier two! I’m quite excited, and hope to keep gaining tiers. So far I have submitted:

  • Herding Sheep in Autumn background (partial credit)
  • On a Giant Autumn Leaf
  • Sunshine Glow pets/mounts (partial credit)
  • Spring Gala 2019 Robin Healer set

I also have a current work-in-progress of “In a Strawberry Patch” background. Of course, I won’t spoil these. 🙂 Ya’ll will just have to wait and see them when they’re released!

Do you contribute your time for free on anything that you love? If so, what is it that you do?
